How to View or Delete Your Facebook Search History

How to View or Delete Your Facebook Search History
==================================
Not only the Google but also the Facebook keeps a record of whatever you search on it. The search terms get stored into your Facebook account which are only visible for you as the privacy settings for the search history is set to ‘Only me’ by default. If your Facebook account is quite older then you might have a lot of search terms stored at your account and if you want to delete the Facebook Search History for whatever the reason or if you simply want to recap your previous searches, here is how to do it.

Facebook keeps all the search records stored under the Activity Log. So, log into your Facebook account and click on your profile name from the top-right corner. At your Facebook profile page, you can see the “Activity Log” button. Click on it.

Here, at the activity log page, you can browse and review your past activities with your Facebook account. You can delete each activity individually from this page by clicking the ‘Delete’ icon with each entry. If you want to deal with only the search terms that you used in Facebook search, expand the sidebar by clicking on the ‘MORE’ link and find out the ‘Search’ option. Click on it.

The page appears with your entire search history. Here, you can review all your previous searches one-by-one and delete them individually if you want. If you want to delete them in a whole then click on the ‘Clear search’ link from the top-right corner.

All the search histories will be erased from your account. Should you note that once you clear the Facebook Search History, you can never restore them.

The search history in Facebook does not appear publicly. It is visible only to the account holder. But it seems that Facebook is keeping a track on your interests silently so that they can use the data to serve appropriate ads to the users. Though Google provides the option to search privately, Facebook does not. If you don’t want to revile your mind to the Facebook ad network, delete the history regularly from your account.
